TNACI's Riverfront Facility

TNACI Sneak Peek

Curious about what the Aquarium’s conservation science team is working on in their new riverfront facility?  Come take a tour, and see for yourself!  We will visit the main learning, research, and conservation spaces in the new building, including the research labs and propagation room, and end in the beautiful landscape.  We will also take participants on the journey of a raindrop as it makes its way from the Conservation Institute’s roof into the Tennessee River... and the ocean beyond.  Participants will get a chance to see not only how Conservation Institute staff work to protect rivers and streams of the Southeast, but also learn about how the building and landscape were also designed to protect the river, by treating stormwater sustainably in a way that mimics the Earth’s natural processes.
