Journey to South Pacific 3D-Member Premiere (Sold Out)
Thursday, March 6
6:00 - 7:00 p.m.

Join special guest Catherine Plume, Managing Director of the World Wildlife Fund Coral Triangle Program, for the Chattanooga premiere of Journey to the South Pacific 3D.

The ocean surrounding the Indonesian province Papua, featured in Journey to the South Pacific 3D, is the epicenter of marine life in the world. The bright blue waters are home to 40 percent of the world's fish species and 75 percent of all known coral species. Six of the world's seven sea turtle species, including the massive Leatherback Sea Turtle, also live alongside Bryde's Whales, Whale Sharks and Manta Rays in this rich environment.

Plume implements vital conservation projects in the Coral Triangle. Together with conservation partners, communities and the governments of the region, WWF works to safeguard this region for its people and the world, while also protecting sea turtle nesting beaches and conducting research to better understand, and plan for, climate change impacts.

Plume will introduce the film. Immediately after the premiere, she will deliver a brief presentation about WWF's work in the Coral Triangle while illustrating why coral reefs matter to inland residents living half a world away. Audience Q&A will wrap up this entertaining and informative event.

Due to the duration of the film and opening remarks by the speaker, late admission is not allowed. Limit two FREE tickets per membership.
