River Teachers
The Tennessee Aquarium Conservation Institute
Monday - Friday | July 10 - 14 | 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
The Tennessee Aquarium Conservation Institute is offering an exciting new summer camp for educators. River Teachers is a week-long immersive program designed to help high school science teachers bring freshwater lessons to life. River Teachers will venture out in the field with our scientists to sample fish in a local stream, test water quality, snorkel one of the Southeast’s most biodiverse rivers, look for salamanders and more. The week of aquatic adventures culminates with a teacher summit to create new lesson plans and develop innovative learning opportunities. For more information, contact Hayley Wise at hbw@tnaqua.org.
This week-long workshop will be offered free of charge for current middle and high school teachers. However, due to the limited number of spots available, we are requiring a $25 fee to hold your spot. Upon completion of the week, we will refund the $25 fee. If you register and cannot attend, please let us know by June 26th to receive a refund. This will allow those on the waitlist to register.
