River Teachers Adopt-A-Stream Workshop

We are hosting this workshop for both teachers interested in Georgia Adopt-A-Stream as a new water quality volunteer and to recertify teachers who have been through the training. Teachers will be certified in both Chemical Water Quality Monitoring and Macroinvertebrate Water Quality Monitoring. This workshop will include both classroom instruction as well as stream sampling in a local stream. Teachers needing recertification only will not need to participate in the afternoon field portion. While we do use Georgia Adopt A Stream methods, teachers from both Georgia and Tennessee are welcome to join. Tennessee teachers will be able to use these methods to submit data in Tennessee. This training is a great tool to get your students involved in citizen science.
