Join noted Civil War historian Jim Ogden for a special cruise aboard the River Gorge Explorer. Jim will point out defining features along the Tennessee River that played an important role in deciding Civil War actions. As we travel past and within sight of several critical battlegrounds, you will experience history from the unique perspective of the river. Passengers will load a bus in Chattanooga and travel to Hale’s Bar Marina to board. Guests will then board the River Gorge Explorer for a return cruise to Chattanooga. Cash bar with wine, beer, soft drinks and snacks available during the cruise.
