MATE ROV Workshop
Tennessee Aquarium is introducing a new opportunity to enhance your students’ interest and understand of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) by exploring the fascinating world of underwater robotics. This workshop will give you the guidance and support necessary to bring underwater robotics to your school by learning to design and build Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs). Educators who participate in this workshop will be provided with a Pufferfish kit (a $200 value) to take to school to start their after-school ROV clubs.
This workshop is intended to help Late Elementary and Middle School educators interested in starting up an after-school ROV club and coaching their teams to a Marine Advanced Technology Education (MATE) Regional competition in April.
Price: $20 (covers all meals, snacks, and parking)
