Join us for a special evening with National Geographic photographer Joel Sartore

Thursday, February 29th, 2024 at 5:30PM- 8:00PM

Joel Sartore is an award-winning photographer and founder of the National Geographic Photo Ark, a groundbreaking effort to document species before they disappear- and get people to care while there's still time. Sartore has dedicated more than 30 years to creating stunning wildlife portraits of creatures, great and small.

Beginning March 1st, a temporary exhibition featuring more than two dozen pieces of Sartore's photography will be displayed in both Aquarium buildings and the Tennessee Aquarium IMAX 3D Theater. Sartore will be joined by his son Cole on February 29th for this unique speaking engagement, previewing this special exhibition.

Cole will discuss his role as Photo Ark Curator and share what traveling the world on assignment with his father is like. Joel will use his wit, passionate speaking style, and incredible imagery to inspire everyone to view all wildlife with a caring eye and a renewed commitment to conservation.

Proceeds from the event will help support the Tennessee Aquarium's conservation efforts.
