ROV Underwater Robotics Workshop

Get hands-on and join us as we dive into the world of underwater robotics! This two-day workshop will give you the guidance and support necessary to bring underwater robotics to your school by learning to design and build Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs). Educators who participate in this workshop will be provided with a Pufferfish kit (a $200 value) to take back to school to start their after-school ROV clubs. 

This workshop is intended to help Late Elementary and Middle School educators interested in starting up an after-school ROV club and coaching their teams in preparation for Marine Advanced Technology Education (MATE) Regional competitions.

 

Price:

$20 per participant 

(Cost covers snacks, lunch on Saturday, and parking fees.)

Friday, January 31, 2020, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Saturday, February 1, 2020, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM

 

*In order to promote participation from schools throughout the area, a maximum of two teachers per school is allowed.*

*Participants must attend both sessions for thier school to qualify for the ROV kit.  Only one ROV kit will be given to each school registered.*
