Chasing Butterflies at  Tennessee River Gardens

Monarchs will be on their way to Mexico and coming back through our area in mid-September. Make the most of this event with a trip to Tennessee River Gardens near Raccoon Mountain on Sunday, September 22^nd. Tennessee Aquarium horticulturist Christine Hunt will lead this local tagging adventure that's sure to be fun for the whole family! You'll be equipped with butterfly nets and registered materials to tag these winged-marvels.  Please note: this activity involves walking through fields and off trail so sturdy footwear or hiking boots, long pants and appropriate sun protection are recommended.  Also bring plenty of water with you.  See you there!
